Beginning in 1985, Steve Patmont, his wife Hannelore, and two sons Gabe and Tim launched Patmont Motor Werks, creators of the Go-Ped Brand of original folding motorized scooters. They began by building Go-Peds in their Pleasanton California garage for friends and family that just had to have one and it blossomed from there.
