Best Purchase I have made in a long time We bought this for my sons 6th birthday. I know the suggested age is 12, but the bike is definately too small for a 12 yr. old. It is perfectly sized for a 6-9 yr. old. It has a lot of pep and the battery lasts a long time on charge. It runs great on gravel and in the grass. It even does well on inclines. I am extremely happy with the bike. I would suggest purchasing a helmet to go along with it. It is also very well-made and is very easy to assemble out of the box. I would recommend this bike for any child 6-9yrs. old. :2012-02-11 11:27:47
excellent we ended up buying 3 razor bikes, this one, a chopper and the dirt quad. This is the best of the three. The dirt quad needs more powerful batteries or something, its a step above a powerwheel at best. I ended up returning it to the store 2 days after christmas and buying another one of these. The chopper is so low to the ground that the kids have trouble with balancing on it. This zooms really fast and we have all sorts of rules about where they can and cannot ride these. I bought full face helmets, they really feel like they are on a dirt bike. I admittedly have been on it and Im not exactly on the skinny side and I can go up hills pretty darn fast.
My only wish is they would make the battery last longer per charge, and make the battery easier to plug and unplug.
My kids are aged 6,11 and 13...the neighbors are 6 and 8.. they all ride them and love them. It even won over the PSP as the best x-mas present.
Ive only owned them a few weeks but the chargers and batteries seem to working and charging.

great battery riding toy for the kids, it is easy to charger and my sons love it this is the perfect gift for your child it has speed but not too fast for your little ones and my seven year old [..]he really really loves it .[..]it well by keeping his balance and it can hold so much weight i can even ride it. i have to say its the best battery riding toy out there these days it has real tires so it is worth the [..]compared to all the other riding toys at that price..i would recommend this over any other one out there. :2012-02-11 11:29:15
great choice This little motorcycle is surprising tough and handles really well! Our son loves it and it's just perfect for parents who want more than a bicycle, more than the toddlers power wheels, but their child just isn't quite ready for a gas powered dirt bike. We thought our Son may need some time to get used to the way a motorcycle handled, but he took right to it. Always be safe and use helmet and pads! Got a great price from Amazon.com, better than anywhere else and we looked for a long time. :2010-12-08 22:05:41
Great for the price, not equivalent to a "real" dirt bike I got this for $200 delivered, bought it for my 4-yr old since hes still too short to touch the ground on my old Honda Z50R my first bike when I was a kid. For the price we paid it is actually built surprisingly well. History on my kid; he would ride with my on my Honda 50 and he would control the throttle, brakes and shifting while I managed the steering and balance and occasional parental override on the brakes, so he had a good feel for the controls before he got onto this Razor. So the first time he got onto this Razor he took right off! And he loves riding it! The motor has enough power to pull my 45# kid through mild grass and dirt dirt roads just fine, and even some mild woods trails. Mild hills are no problem, but it won climb steep hills or go through deep sugar sand by itself. The throttle is NOT variable, its on/off, but it starts off very smoothly so its not a jolt when he turns the grip, and he picked right up on bumping the throttle on/off to go slow. It only has a rear brake lever on the left handlebar and no suspension. But the battery goes easily for an hour of non-stop riding on a hard surface and top speed is around 15mph on hard ground. The brake lever is adult sized; the perch has the lever far enough from the bar to be comfortable for an adult or older kid, but my 4-yr old son has to take his hand nearly off the handlebar to reach out to the lever. But once he gets his hand on it he has no trouble pulling it in for small hands, adjust it so the engagement point is closer to the bar, and it is plenty strong to lock the rear wheel even on pavement. For general zipping around this is fine, but it won be good for teaching technical riding where a rider needs to keep his fingers on the brake lever at all times. As soon as you touch the brake lever it turns the motor off which is probably a good feature for beginning riders. The foot pegs are plenty wide, even for adults, and they fold up which is nice in a crash and weve had lots of crashes!. There is no suspension so the poor little guys get beat up pretty good on rough ground. My son isn standing when he rides yet so he likes to avoid the very bumpy areas. The chain is completely covered so theres no chance of the kids getting their pants or shoe strings caught in it. Its very light weight maybe 50# so when the little kids fall the bike isn hard to pick up and doesn squish them. The knobs on the tires are flat and square, similar to a trials tire, which means they have plenty of grip on hard surfaces. The seat height is low so little kids can touch the ground easily. Charging takes several hours, so once the battery goes dead its time to plug it in and go find something else to do for a while. You have to remove several screws to get to the battery, so even if you had a spare, swapping it while at the riding area would be a bit of a pain.
Pros: inexpensive, very light weight, soft forgiving but adequate power that won intimidate little kids, low seat height, reasonable battery life, fold up foot pegs, good build quality, nearly silent so the neighbors won complain.
Cons: no suspension, non-variable throttle, adult sized brake lever perch, not enough power for steep hills, long recharge time and swapping batteries takes too long to be convenient for the purpose of bringing extra batteries to extend ride time
Conclusion: If you want to figure out how into bikes your kids are before dropping $1500 on a real bike, or if you want to get a very small kid into the sport then this is a wonderful option. Despite the few short comings, this is a great bike for the price and my kid absolutely loves it. It won compete with a 50cc pee-wee bike from Honda, Yamaha, etc.., and probably won compete with an OSET electric $1000, but its less than 1/5 the price or the other bikes, at least 50# lighter than the gas bikes and definitely a good buy for the price. I suspect kids in the city will ride this thing until the wheels are worn off, but more serious aspiring off-road or motocross riders will probably outgrow it quickly. You get a lot of bike for only $200, so if this is your price point or if youve got a young kid just starting out then this bike is a good buy. :2012-02-11 11:28:33
Great Fun, But Choose the Size Carefully I bought this for my 7 year old, and a MX500 for my 10 year old. They are great bikes, well made and easy to assemble. The battery has been great, and they have been riding them in grass and up inclines with no problems. They understand how to connect them to the charger and do so with no problems. As many other reviews state, the mfgs age recommendations are way off. My 7 year old will likely outgrow the 350 within the year. He is 48 and 52 pounds and could easily handle the MX500. Best $$ I ever spent on a kids gift. :2012-02-11 11:27:07
Great little bike This is a great little bike. I bought it for my 6 year old son and 9 year old daughter to share. They both absolutely love it. The bike really moves for a battery powered vehicle, not like the typical battery operated jeeps. It was very easy to put together - most of it came together from Amazon, so it only took about 15 minutes. It goes pretty fast, even on grass. The recommended age is 12 I think, but that would be too old. No doubt if you fall of it could hurt a little, but not much more than falling off a regular bicycle. Im already thinking of moving up to the bigger size. I would recommend this to anyone with kids in the 6-10 age group, who are comfortable riding a bicycle. One of the best things I ever bought for my kids. :2012-02-11 11:27:58
Great starter dirtbike for a small kid I purchased four of these at the same time. I have three six year olds and an eight year old. The assembly was pretty quick and easy. Most of the bike is together right out of the box but it took about 30 minutes to get the rest together.
The bikes go pretty fast to be electric. The claim to go about 14mph and I'd say thats about right. I have a golf cart and I couldn't keep up with the bikes with it. There pretty sturdy as well. I've only had the bikes for a few weeks and they've been dropped and crashed numerous times and they keep on going.
I did have one of the bikes that didn't work and Amazon was great at getting it shipped back to them and refunded (although the refund took about two weeks).
The bikes will hold even the bigger boys with little problem, but don't expect to get the same top end speed and run time as with the lighter kids. I even rode it a couple of times and I weigh 188lbs (but its not really supposed to have more than 140lbs person on it...lol)
It takes about 5 hours to charge (depending on the current charge of the battery). You can expect to get about 45 minutes from a single charge. My eight year old gets several minutes less than one of my lighter six year olds.
In summary, I am satisfied with the item. It is exactly as the company describes. You really can't beat it for the price. My kids have great fun on them and I didn't have to fork over $800-$1000 for a gas powered dirt bike. I hope this helps someone in deciding on this purchase. :2010-12-08 22:05:12
Happy Mom in Missouri Hi everyone!
At first I was a little worried about the age factor on this product. Our son that is 6 is a pretty coordinated and has been riding a 2 wheeler since he was 4 1/2 so, we decided we would give this a shot. WOW!! I am so glad that we did, he Loves it!!!
Honestly, I think a child 11 plus would be to big for this toy.
The speed of this toy is very good. Not too fast and not a putt putt.
About some of the other written reviews you have read about the bad batteries.. we have had NO problems what so ever. We charge it overnight when it gets low and then he can ride it for a very very long time before needing to be charged again.
This is a GREAT product and I would recommed it to anyone with a child that enjoys this type of outdoor play!!!
Happy Mom in Missouri :2012-02-11 11:25:56
must by this bike is awsome!!!its not really an off road bike or anything but its REALY AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!! :2012-02-11 11:28:15
My son's dream My 5 year old son got this for Christmas and it has been the biggest hit! He is big for his age and was riding a two-wheeler when he was three, so it has been no trouble for him to handle. It looks like a
eal motorcycle and goes plenty fast for him! It seems to run for a good while on the battery, and charging is simple, thankfully! It seems very durable, but weve only had it for a short time, so can say longterm. But, believe me, its gotten plenty of use, so if it weren durable, Id probably know it by now! Overall, great value and great motorcyle/toy :2012-02-11 11:26:36
Not bad for the yard Bought this for my 4 year old son, he is a good rider and learned to ride without training wheels this summer. I had him start out on the power wheels mini bike which worked out well. First of all, it did not look exactly like the box it came in, ours sits a little lower to the ground and the battery cover and a few frame details were different? Anyway, it looks cool, especially to the neighborhood kids. Rear suspension works pretty well, not much travel but it works, Front is useless however. There is practically no movement whatsoever. It doesn have much low end power but gets my lightweight son going pretty good. It is pretty fast on top end, too fast for him so I make him go slow. The brake is not easy for little hands, should have put a foot brake on. Seems pretty durable, easy to charge and goes really well in the yard. Doesn have enough power to stop at the bottom of a moderate hill and climb it without getting a run at it. It would be too small for a kid over say 12 to have any fun on. More suited to most 6-10 year olds wanting an easy way to learn how to ride. Fairly good value for the money, better than those useless pocketbikes that won go in the grass. Little kids don need to be in the street anyway. my opinion! The minimoto looks to be a better and bigger bike, and the red razor looks to have front and rear disc brakes, but for my size kid this works great. I wouldn spend $500 on an electric minimoto anyway, you can get a real gas dirtbike for that. :2012-02-11 11:26:21
OO Ok! Happy to ordered for my son. I love this tyoy.Thank :2012-03-16 00:55:40
perfect gift ! be careful this item is MUCH smaller than the 350 model would not recommend for over 45 lbs or age aprox 7...but if you lil one is smaller than that they will have the time of their life !these bikes are wonderful although the warrantee is short they do provide a site for replacement parts. enjoy ! :2010-09-15 04:18:27
Razor MX350 Bought this for my sons 5th birthday. Small enough for him to get his feet flat on the ground. Realistic throttle similar to gas powered dirt bikes. Excellent first motorcycle. Speed maxes out at 10-13 mph but my son doesnt even go full out. He is able to stop or slow down easily using the left hand brake. Electric motor needs no maintenance just keep it charged! Motorcycle has NO suspension though. Not a problem for the little ones unless they hit a pretty big bump straight on....itll give them a jolt. Havent had the bike off road yet. Definitely WOULD recommend this bike for beginners. They get to learn the basics of handling throttle control and braking. All skills they need to move up to larger displacement bikes. Great for building confidence.
Dont forget the gear!!! They definitely should have a full face helmet at the least. Hope this helps. :2010-09-15 04:18:27
Razor MX350 Dirt Rocket My husband and I purchased the Razor MX350 Dirt Rocket as a Birthday present for our son that was turning 6. This is exactly what he wanted and it couldnt be more perfect for his age. The dirtbike is the perfect size and speed. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a starter dirtbike for their 5-6 year old. :2010-09-15 04:18:27
Razor MX350 Dirt Rocket Great Bike for kids ages 5-8 years old I bought this bike for my 7 year old daughter. She Loves it!
It is a great bike for kids ages 5 -8 years old. Perfect for in town residence, super quiet. Does well on flat surfaces, and it will go 14 mph. Well built, and lasts quite a while on a single battery charge. Great value :2012-02-11 11:27:20
so so cool my parants got me the mx350 for my 11th birthday i love it it is very powerful the mx350 can pull my 7 year old brother in the wagain the only problum is that if it is to mudy it will go slower so try to keep it clean so it can go top speed of 25 km per hour :2012-02-11 11:28:47
The best toy I ever bought my son I bought this toy for my 8-year old son and was concerned I was going to get burned again buying an electric bike. I had purchased the minimoto the year before and was very disappointed. But this? It is a great bike!! It goes pretty fast for an 8 year-old just starting to ride dirt bikes. He loves it, it was well worth the money and it continues to be so. All he wants to do everyday is ride it and he does and it lasts as long as he wants to ride it. We have since purchased him a real dirt bike - which he loves. But he still likes to ride the electric one. :2012-02-11 11:26:09
you'll wish you were a kid again This product is really amazing. Because of the quality and the sheer novelty of it, I think it is worth more than double the current price. The free shipping is over top since this is a large and heavy item.
It assembles quick and easily with the tools provided. You have to charge it up overnight before first use so manage expectations when the product arrives. But who are we kidding? Im over 200 lbs and I was riding that thing around the driveway while my kids were sleeping.
The product really flies. The suspension works well. The electric motor is silent operation, which you just can get used to because it is so fast. If your child can ride a bike without training wheels, they can ride this thing. But you will need some space. Its so fast, they will be expanding their horizons quickly.
And because it is so fast, you will need serious safety equip. Real helmets not bicycle helmets. You may want to consider shin pads and maybe wrist guards. If/when your kids fall off, they are going to get hurt. Thats part of motorcycling. The bike is heavy and if they are small, they might have a hard time getting it off of them when it falls over. My 35 lb 4 y.o. gets stuck under it. My 40 lb 5 y.o. has no problem.
Everyone in my neighborhood has the same reaction: I wish they had something like this when I was a kid. :2012-02-11 11:29:02
